摘　　要：国家自然科学基金"十二五"发展规划国际合作战略部署明确提出,要积极推动参与和筹划双边和多边国际(地区)科学合作,有效利用全球科技资源,不失时机地关注与发展中国家的合作。近期,国家自然科学基金委员会通过加强国别政策调研,积极拓展合作渠道,促进双边交流,在开拓对南美地区的合作方面付诸了积极的实践,取得了开拓性的进展。本文旨在对当前南美国家科技现状进行调研和介绍的基础上,对科学基金开拓对南美合作提出思考和相关政策建议。It is proposed as an international cooperation strategy by the 12th Five-Year Plan of the National Natural Science Fund （NSFC） to proactively promote and develop bilateral/multilateral international/regional scientific cooperation to draw on the global scientific and technological resources on the one hand, and take every opportunity to broaden the collaboration with developing countries. Based on enhanced country policy research, active expansion of cooperation channels for enhancing bilateral exchanges, NSFC has made groundbreaking advances in broadening cooperation with South America. This article conducts an account and analysis of the status quo of South American science and technology, with a view to proposing relevant policy advice on expanding future NSFC-South America collaboration in basic sciences.
