摘　　要：在华侨华人史的研究中,我们会经常遇到一些名词,诸如:华人、华侨、华裔、侨眷、侨乡、侨汇(侨批)、侨社(侨团)、侨领、华人社区,华侨资本(华人资本)等,弄清这些名词所包含的概念,对于华侨华人史的研究至关重要,故撰此文,以求教方家。Some conceptual nouns are commonly seen in the overseas Chinese studies. For example, ethnic Chinese, overseas Chinese, descendant of the Chinese settlers, the family members of overseas Chinese, home town of overseas Chinese, overseas remittance, overseas Chinese association, overseas Chinese leaders, Chinese communities, overseas Chinese capital, and so on. Understanding the concept contained in these terms is important for the research of overseas Chinese history.
