Optimization of Cutting Parameters in Ultrasonic Elliptical Vibration Turning of Inconel 718 Based on Finite Element Model and Taguchi Method

摘  要:采用Advant Edge软件建立了Inconel 718超声椭圆振动车削有限元仿真模型。对比试验数据验证了有限元仿真模型的正确性。基于田口法,结合有限元法和部分析因法设计试验,获得了Inconel 718超声椭圆振动辅助车削过程中五个因子(切削深度、进给量、振动频率、振幅和切削速度)间以主切削力为指标的交互效应显著状况。根据五个因子间的交互效应显著状况并结合有限元法设计田口试验,引入田口法的信噪比分析,研究了这五个因子对主切削力的影响规律。根据各水平下各因子的信噪比分布,获得这五个因子有利于降低主切削力的最优参数组合。最后,通过对比仿真值与田口预测值,验证了田口法运用信噪比优化参数的有效性。A finite element model for UEVT of Inconel 718 was developed by the simulation of metal cutting software of AdvantEdge. The simulated average cutting force was compared with the experimental data under the same cutting param- eters and good agreement between them was achieved. Based on Taguchi method and finite element method, the significant interactions between five parameters ( depth of cutting, feed rate, cutting speed, vibration frequency and amplitude) for the main cutting force obtained from partial - factor 2V^5-1 design tests. According to the significant interactions between these five parameters and finite element method,the Taguchi L27 (35) design of experiments was yielded. And by adopting the signal to noise ratio from Taguchi method, it draws the influence of the cutting parameters such as depth of cut ,feed rate, cutting speed, vibration frequency and vibration amplitude on the main cutting force is studied. Optimization of these five parameters in ultrasonic elliptical vibration turning of Inconel 718 can reduce the main cutting force based on the signal to noise ratio distribution of each control factor at each level. Finally, verification tests were carried out to compare the predicted values of the main cutting force with their simulated values in order to confirm the effectiveness of the Taguchi optimization.
