摘　　要：农作物种业是国家战略性、基础性核心产业,是促进农业长期稳定发展、保障国家粮食安全的根本。湖北作为中部农业大省,其种业的健康发展对全国种业的稳定和繁荣具有重要的支撑作用。在分析湖北种子需求规模、特点的基础上,通过评估湖北商业种子市值,探讨了湖北种业发展存在的问题,提出了做大做强湖北种业的对策与建议。Crop seed industry is a national strategic and basic core industry, which is the foundation to promote the longterm stable development of agriculture and guarantee the national food security. As a major agricultural province in central China, the healthy development of Hubei seed industry plays an important supporting role for the stability and prosperity of the national seed industry. Based on analyzing the scale and characteristics of Hubei seed demand, the market value of Hubei commercial seed was evaluated, and problems of Hubei seed industrial development were discussed, then the countermeasures and suggestions to enlarge and strengthen Hubei seed industry were put forward.
