开创新中国世界近代史的教学与研究——记杨生茂先生前期的学术活动

摘　　要：中华人民共和国成立初期,新的世界史教学与研究体系从无到有。杨生茂教授那一代学人筚路蓝缕,责无旁贷地承担、参与了新的世界史学科的筹备、建立与建设工作。杨生茂教授在新中国建立后到改革开放前的近30年时间里,亲历了关于世界史教学与研究的各种学术活动,其中包括在南开大学历史系建立新史学教学体系、创办《历史教学》杂志、参与编撰中国第一部大学世界通史教科书,以及草创与艰难维持世界史学科的发展等。In the early days when the People＇s Republic of China was newly established, a new system for the teaching and research of world history was to be established. Yang Shengmao and other scholars of his generation were courageous enough to shovel away the difficulties and begin the preparation, establishment and construction of the new discipline of recent world history. Between the establishment of new China and China＇s reform and opening-up, Professor Yang Shengmao spent 30 years participating in all the academic activities that were related to the teaching and research of recent world history. These included his participation in the establishment of new history teaching system in the History Department of Nankai University, his establishment of the journal History Teaching, and his participation in the editing of China＇s first university textbook of a complete history of the world. He is also remembered for his establishment of the discipline of world history and his efforts to keep this discipline.
