摘 要:16世纪,小说和戏曲仍处于文学上颇具魅力和地位上小道卑体的尴尬之间,王世贞及其周边文人在为小说、戏曲撰作序文时,不论是否因为身份的负担,都自觉地在书序文中通过直接的正面论辩、以功用论替代地位论、自觉退让等方式展开了关于小说、戏曲的地位之辩,而当解决了地位问题或者完全不在意此问题而进入自在语境时,他们又在序文中就小说、戏曲的艺术技巧、专业知识、艺术理论等方面提出了独到见解。本文不只考察书序文的具体内容,更侧重分析其叙写方法。除了创作小说和戏曲,王世贞等人通过书序文这种文体形式,从地位、艺术到理论,为小说、戏曲在明代的繁荣提供了有力支持。In the 16th century, novels and dramas were attractive while they still had lowstylistic position. Under the circumstances,whether because of the burden of identity or not,Wang Shizhen and his surrounding literati argued about the position of novel and dramaconseiously in a variety ways when they wrote prefaces, for example, direct argu- ment,discussing the function of novel and drama instead of their position, making a con- cession to the position of novel and drama. When solved the problem of position, or some of them had no concern for this problem, Wang Shizhen and his surrounding literatioffered some particular insights about art skill, professional knowledge and theory of novel and drama. In addition to writing novels and dramas, bythe style of preface, Wang Shizhen and his surrounding literati providedpowerful supporffor the flourish of novel and drama in the Ming dynasty.
