文明的融合与冲突——论《黑暗的心》中的矛盾性

摘　　要：《黑暗的心》是康拉德短篇小说中的经典之作,其中一个重要主题就是探究欧洲文明和非洲文明之间的对立与统一。文章运用矛盾分析法,探讨了该作品描述的欧非两种文明的融合与冲突,揭示了贪婪和孤独的复杂人性,从而证实在异域的跨文化生存中,两种文明之间具有暂时的不可融合性。Heart of Darkness is a classic of Conrad＇s short stories. One of the most important themes of the work explores the opposition and unity of the two kinds of civilizations between Europe and Afri- ca. This paper discusses the integration and conflict of the two civilizations of Europe and Africa through the method of contradiction analysis, revealing the complexity of human greed and loneliness, which proved that European and African civilizations do not blend temporarily in exotic cross-cultural survival.
