摘　　要：This paper discusses the preservation of the poems＇ aesthetic effects in translation based on the reception aesthetics theory and the corpus from two English versions of The Story of the Stone. As Chinese traditional poems are part of world cultural treasure, the preservation of aesthetic effects in translation is of great importance in cultural communication. This paper attempts to solve the problem of preserving the aesthetic effects of Chinese poems in translation and keeping the target texts acceptable to the target language readers from the aspects of beauty of musicality, sense and flavor,
