Objective To discuss the effects of fast-track surgery (FTS) on the nursing care during the perioperative period of cervical intervertebral disc replacement. Methods 120 patients with cervical intervertebral disc replacement from July 2010 to June 2015 were randomly divided into the control group and the experimental group. There were no differences between the two groups (P〉0.05). The conventional nursing care was used incontrol group, and the FTS nursing was used in the experimental group on the basis of the conventional nursing care. The VAS score, JOA score, time of off-bed activity, postoperative hospital stay, hospitalization expenses, postoperative complications were compared between the two groups. Results The VAS score, JOA score, time of off-bed activity and hospitalization expenses in FTS group were markedly better than those in control group. Postoperative complications in control group were worse than that in FTS group. Conclusion The rapid recovery concept in perioperative period of cervical intervertebral disc replacement could reduce the occurrence of postoperative complications, contribute to the early functional exercise, and could gain better therapeutic effect and prognosis.
