摘　　要：本论文试图探究新建本科院校英语专业学生泛读课上的可行性动机策略。针对学生英语水平参差不齐的现状,任课教师根据国内外相关动机理论对课堂教学进行改革,在泛读课上采用了动机激发策略。该研究主要基于教师对实施改革后的课堂教学进行观察和教学反思,提出了一些实施方案,希望对相关外语教学动机激发策略的理论有所补充,对同类院校遇到类似教学情境的教师有所启发。Motivation is an important factor to influence learning effect. Class environment plays a role to activate students＇ motivation. This research attempts to investigate some feasible motivational stimula- tion strategies in extensive reading class to the English majors in a newly-built college. Based on the fact that the students＇ English is on different levels, some findings are suggested and proved to be effective in promoting the learning effect through literature studying and interview. Hopefully this paper may strike a positive chord with other teachers who face the similar teaching situation.
