Objective To observe the correlation between carotid artery changes and asymptomatic cerebral infarction in elderly patients using high frequency ultrasound. Methods From January 2015 to August 2016, 30 cases of asymptomatic cerebral infarction group were selected as the control group by using the United States GE's LOGIQ 9-type and PHILPS's i E Elite-type color ultrasound diagnostic apparatus to real- time two- dimensional imaging scan carotid artery. The carotid artery remodeling and vascular function were observed and compared. Results The incidence of remodelling in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group( P〈 0.05). In the observation group, the systolic diameter of the common carotid artery increased, the diastolic diameter decreased( P 〈0.05), and there was significant difference compared with the control group( P 〈0.05).Conclusion The rate of aortic remodeling is higher in patients with asymptomatic cerebral infarction, and the carotid artery stiffness is significantly increased. The use of high-frequency ultrasound can better show the carotid artery in patients with asymptomatic cerebral infarction, according to the carotid artery, early detection of asymptomatic cerebral infarction in patients with early prevention to avoid entering the cerebral infarction, causing irreversible damage to patients.
