摘  要:传统的视频会议系统主要基于多点控制单元(MCU)实现,虽然技术成熟,但是当用户数增多时会产生较大的时延和通信瓶颈.随着科技发展,软件定义网络(SDN)的新模式可实现组播的完全可控,极大地优化网络流管理.针对视频会议的基本需求,提出一种基于SDN分层组播的视频会议系统架构.该系统舍弃了传统的互联网组管理协议(IGMP)和MCU硬件设备,结合可伸缩视频编码(SVC)实现分层视频组播以满足不同设备能力的会议终端需求,SDN控制器实时监控网络状态并动态地管理和调节视频层数,同时设计了会议管理服务器进行会议业务的管理.实验结果表明,本系统提供了灵活可控的分层视频流服务,并且可以在保证视频会议服务质量的前提下节约带宽、降低延迟.Traditional video conferencing system is bridged by a device called multipoint control unit ( MCU ), which may cause large delay and communication bottleneck when the users increase. As the development of network technology, Software-Defined Networking(SDN) makes it possible to realize a complete controllable multicast and optimize the flow management. In this paper, we propose a video conferencing architecture based on SDN-enable layered multicast, which discards traditional Internet Group Management Protocol ( IGMP ) and hardware device like MCU. Our system implements SVC multicast stream to satisfy conference terminals with different device capability. SDN controller is responsible for monitoring network status and dynamically managing or adjusting the layers of video stream. Also a Conference Manager is designed to facilitate the conference management. Experiments show that our system can not only provide a flexible and controllable layered video delivery but also reduce the bandwidth usage and delay while guaranteeing the quality of video conference.
