Objective: To observe the clinical effect of cervical vertebra rotating restoration in sitting position on cervical dizziness due to atlanto-axial joint dislocation. Methods: 92 cases of patients with cervical dizziness due to atlanto-axial joint dislocation were selected and divided randomly into two groups,46 cases in each group. The control group was treated with traditional massage manipulation, while the treatment group was treated with cervical vertebra rotating restoration in sitting position. In the patients of two groups,we evaluated the effective rate of clinical treatment and the number of dizziness attacks before and after treatment. Results: The total effective rate of treatment group was 97. 83%,significantly higher than 86. 96% of control group, the difference between two groups was significant( P〈0. 05). The treatment group had no recurrence, while the recurrence rate of control group was 8. 70%,there was significant difference between two groups( P〈0. 05). Conclusion: Treating the cervical dizziness due to atlanto-axial joint dislocation with cervical vertebra rotating restoration in sitting position can enhance significantly the effective rate of clinical treatment, relieve the number and frequency of dizziness attack, and control effectively the recurrence.
