Comments on Historical Theme and the Source of Man-made Disasters in “A Global History”——Comparing With Historical Materialism Ideas

摘　　要：历史学家斯塔夫里阿诺斯在《全球通史》中认为技术变革与社会变革发生的时间差才是史上许多包括大规模战争在内的人为灾难的根源。这两者显然不一致,但两者的相似点还是很明显,甚至可以说斯塔夫里阿诺斯对历史唯物主义的基本观点作了部分表达。Stavros Stavrianos,the historian, argues in ＂A Global History＂ that the time gap between technological revolution and social change is the source of man-made disasters including large-scale wars. There is difference between this argument and historical materi- alism ideas but still there are simila,＇ities. Stavros Stavrianos partially expressed the ideas of historical materialism.
