摘　　要：缪里尔·斯帕克的收官之作《精修学校》为她的创作生涯划上一个圆满的句号,其后现代主义特征主要体现在它集众家之长的元小说策略,表现为"小说中的小说"套盒叙事、小说虚构性的呈现、小说中谈论小说理论以及跨体裁文本和互文性等四个层面。斯帕克凭借这部完美之作为当代英国小说注入新的活力,再次赢得读者与学界的瞩目和尊重。它雄辩地证明,缪里尔·斯帕克是当之无愧的当代英国著名的后现代派小说家。Muriel Spark puts a wonderful end to her writing career with the completion of her last novel The Finishing School. The novel fully demonstrates its postmodernistic feature through the application of the metafictional strategy,which consists of the following practices: the narrative technique of 'Chinese boxes',the exposure of fictionality,the fiction theory in fiction,cross-genre and intertextuality. Spark makes her great share of contribution to the field of contemporary British fiction and wins the attention and respect of the reader as well as the academic circles. It justifies Spark's reputation as the prestigious contemporary British postmodernist novelist.
