New Method for Improving Internal Electric Field Distribution of Longitudinal Modulation Optical Voltage Transformer

摘  要:基于纵向调制Pockels效应的光学电压互感器(OVT),其电光晶体内电场分布的均匀性对测量结果影响很大。通过对多片晶体叠层的纵向调制OVT结构进行电场仿真分析可知,由于晶体内电场分布不均匀,当晶体薄片或光路的角度发生微小偏移时,其通光路径上的积分电压误差一般为0.2%左右,接近或超出了0.2%的准确级要求。为改善其内电场分布,文中针对多片晶体叠层的纵向调制OVT结构,提出了石英介质分层法,通过ANSYS Maxwell有限元分析软件和实验验证了方法的有效性。在保证有效提高半波电压和测量灵敏度的前提下,可以使积分电压误差降低到0.05%以下,保证了0.2%的准确级要求。The accuracy and stability of the optical voltage transformer (OVT), which is based on longitudinal modulation Pockels effect, are greatly affected by the uniformity of the electric field distribution in the crystals. Through an electric field simulation analysis of the multisegmented longitudinal modulation Pockels effect OVT, it is known that the electric field distribution in the BGO crystal is not uniform. When the position of crystal and the angle of incident light have a small deviation, the integral voltage error of the optical path in crystal is in general approaching or greater than 0.2%. To improve the electric field distribution in the crystal, a new method of quartz medium stratification is presented for the multisegmented longitudinal modulation Pockels effect OVT, and its effectiveness is verified by the finite element software ANSYS Maxwell and experiment. On the premise of ensuring the measuring sensitivity and an increase of the half wave voltage, the electric field integral error can be reduced to less than 0.05 % that meets the requirement of 0.2 %.
