留东清真教育会“革命团体”说质疑

摘　　要：近年来学界有人提出,留东清真教育会是受孙中山民主革命思想的影响而创立的一个革命团体,这一看法值得商榷。留东清真教育会成立的直接原因,是江苏镇江回族教育家童琮发起成立东亚清真教育总会的影响。白寿彝先生所说的"民族革命",与同盟会纲领中的"驱除鞑虏、恢复中华"的民族革命并非同义。留东清真教育会之宗旨为"联络同教情谊、提倡教育普及、宗教改良"。留东清真教育会会员们提出的诸多思想认识,在百余年后的今天仍然给人以诸多启示。留东清真教育会在中国回族发展史上具有重要地位,但留东清真教育会非革命团体,与同盟会并无直接的联系。This paper raises a reasonable doubt about the opinion that the Education Association of Chinese Muslims Studying in Japan is a revolutionary organization which was founded under the influence of Sun Yatsen＇s ideas about democratic revolution. Actually, the immediate cause of foundation of the Education Association of Chinese Muslims Studying in Japan is the establishment of the Education Association of East Asia Muslims which was founded by Tong Cong, a Hui （Muslim） educator from Zhenjiang, Jiangsu. The national revolution which Bai Shouyi （白寿彝） said is not synonymous with the national revolution which means to expel the Manchu barbarians, to revive China, to establish a Republic, as defined in the Constitu- tion of the Chinese United League. The purpose of the Education Association of Chinese Muslims Studying in Japan is to contact with Muslims, to advocate universal education, to reform the religion. Ideas of its mem- bers are still inspiring even more than one hundred years have passed. Although the Association is important in the history of development of Hui people, it is not a revolutionary organization and is not immediately re- lated to the Chinese United League.
