摘　　要：该文通过对老汉口各跑马场的调查,理清其脉络与发展,并以西商跑马场为例,探究它在建筑、规划方面的一些特点。西商跑马场是特殊时代的产物,设计几乎采用全西式风格,同时考虑到武汉的气候特征,局部融入中式建筑构造,对当地砖、木材料加以运用,在建筑风格、布局设计、建筑材料与工艺等方面对同时期的建筑水平有较大的推进作用。跑马场建筑随时间的迁移,其功能不复存在,而其独特的风貌是历史不可或缺的片段,因此应加大保护力度,以保留城市的完整记忆。Starting from the investigation of old Hankow racecourse, we sort out their context and development. ＇Faking the Xishang racecourse as an example, we illustrate some ef the features in building design and planning. As the racecourse is the product of specific periods, the buildings are almost western style and add Chinese characteristics to local structure. Considering local climate characteristics and resources, bricks and wood are reasonably used. The construction of racecourse has important impetus to architecture in tile same period by its special architectural style, layout design, building materials and technology. Over time migrating, its function no longer exists, thus protecting the remains of the racecourse is of great significance to Wuhan history.
