摘 要:考察《礼记》中有关礼乐教化与德的关系的论述可以发现,本质义之德是实际体认天道于己身并践履之。人通过礼乐教化而获得对道的认识,并能够运用于自身,即为德。至德之人,就是得道之人。有德方可谓君子,君子之德的实质在于仁德。礼乐与德其理相通,真正懂得礼乐之人,才是有德之人。人通过接受礼乐教化而成君子之德。君子之德既成,则国治而天下平。This paper discusses the relations between civilization and virtues. Virtue, in essence, is that one believes Heavenly principle is over him and practices the principle. A man who has supreme virtue is the one who has got hold of principles. Human virtue is transferred internally from heaven virtue. Only if is the one abided by virtues constantly, he can confirm Heavenly principle and becomes a virtuous man. The ethic meaning of virtue and the essence of the virtue of superior man lie in benevolence. Li, Yue and virtue are the same in definition. Those who understand Li and Yue indeed are the ones of virtues. People have virtues by education. Thus, the virtue manifests the significance of civilization thoroughly.
