摘　　要：本文通过国外报道的一些数据 ,说明解决我国沿海城市缺水问题 ,除了立足远程引水外 ,也可考虑海水淡化。远程引水不仅投资费高于海水淡化 ,而且能耗。In this paper, it is showed for solving water shortage in the coastal cities in China, that except long-distance water intake, the sea water desalination may be the another approach. The capital of long-distance water intake not only is more than the sea water desalination, but its total energy consumption and cost of operation is higher than the latter. The cost of sea water desalination now is 0.7～0.9 $/m 3?
