摘　　要：契诃夫的小说拥有独特的文体风格,而"反复"的巧用是形成其风格特征的重要因素。在契诃夫笔下,物象的反复表现得尤为突出,它成了作家小说叙事的有效策略。本文以细读文本为基础,探讨了物象的反复在契诃夫小说中所具有的主要三种功能:衍生象征意义、刻画人物形象、推动情节发展。In Chekhov＇s novellas and short stories, the skillful manipulation of ＂repetition＂ plays an important role in forming his unique style. As an effective narrative strategy, the occurrence of repeated image is a particularly prominent trait in his novellas and short stories. Based on detailed text analysis, this paper discusses the three main functions of the repeated image in Chekhov＇ s novellas and short stories： generating symbolic meanings, portraying images of characters and developing narrative plots.
