知识分子话语诉求的叙事限度——重读《人到中年》

摘　　要：谌容的中篇小说《人到中年》一直以来被视为"八十年代"中书写知识分子现实困境的重要文本,也产生了广泛的社会影响。然而在"八十年代"的语境下重读这一作品,作者叙事中的话语症候,即对知识分子的"现实"困境不无夸张的叙述实际上包含着知识分子的优位意识。尽管在一些问题上作者十分注意叙事的边界,不过这种工农兵与知识分子话语相分离及话语权让渡的历史诉求,暴露出小说的叙事限度。这样来看,当小说以文化参与的方式影响时代话语体系重构时的艺术问题是语境化"八十年代"时不应被忽略的。Chen Rong＇ s novella At Middle Age has always been regarded as an important text on intellectuals＇ real dilemma in the ＂1980s＂ and has also secured an extensive social impact. However, through a reinterpretation of the novella in the context of the ＂1980s＂, it is found that the discourse symptom of the author＇s narrative, i. e. the authentic narration of intellectuals＇ ＂actual＂ dilemma, does contain the primacy consciousness of intellectuals. Although the author pays much attention to the boundary of narrative on some issues, the historical appeal of the separation between the discourse of workers, farmers and soldiers and that of intellectuals as well as the transfer of discourse power has revealed the narrative limits of fiction. Therefore, the issue of fiction＇ s influence on the recon- struction of the discourse system of the times in the form of cultural participation should not be ignored in the cont- extualized ＂1980s＂.
