Objective To observe the effect of press-needle embedding treatment on dysphagia in stroke patients. Methods 80 patients with dysphagia after stroke were randomly divided into treatment group and control group. 40 patients in each group were given conventional treatment and swallowing training. In the control group, the patients were treated with neuromuscular electrical stimulation. The treatment group was supplemented with press-needle embedding therapy. 2 groups were evaluated on the bases of water-swallowing test and swallowing function evaluation criteria before the treatment and after 2 treatment periods. Results The swallowing function of the two groups were improved after treatment ( P〈0.05 ) . There were significant differences between water-swallowing test and swallowing function evaluation criteria in the two groups before and after treatment ( P〈0.05 ) . Conclusion Press-needle embedding combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation and swallowing function training for dysphagia after stroke can significantly improve patients' swallowing function and further improve the clinical curative effect.
