摘 要:以丙酮为溶剂,采用溶液降温法生长1,3,5-三苯基苯(TPB)晶体。在40~45℃温区下生长出尺寸为19 mm×15 mm×13 mm的透明块状晶体,生长速率约为3 mm/d。通过X射线衍射、光学显微镜观察、热分析、荧光光谱和脉冲形状鉴别(PSD)测试对晶体进行了表征。结果表明:降温法生长的TPB晶体为正交晶系,空间群为Pna21;TPB单晶各向透明度高,没有宏观缺陷,但在各面上均存在生长花纹。TPB晶体的熔点为174℃,蒸发损失发生在283℃;TPB晶体在360 nm处具有相对尖锐和强的带边发射峰。TPB晶体总品质因数(FOM)值为0.85,表明它具有优异的中子/伽马(n/γ)射线辨别能力。The 1,3,5-triphenylbenzene (TPB) crystals were grown in acetone solvent by a temperature-reduction method. The transparent bulk crystal with a size of 19 mm×15 mm×13 mm was obtained at 40-45 ℃ and the growth rate was approximately 3 mm/d. The TPB crystals were characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, thermal analysis, microscopy, florescence spectroscopy and pulse shape discrimination (PSD) analysis. The results show that the TPB crystal grown is orthorhombic and the space group is Pna21, the melting point of TPB crystal is 174 ℃ and the evaporation mass loss occurs at 283 ℃. The TPB single crystal grown by a cooling method has a high transparency without any macroscopic defects, but there are growth pattern on the surface. The TPB crystal has relatively sharp and intense band-edge emission peaks at 360 nm. The total figure of merit (FOM) value of TPB crystals is 0.85, indicating that it has an excellent neutrons/γ ray discriminative ability.
