摘　　要：文化教学已经成为大学英语教学的重要组成部分。语言已不是人们简单交流的工具,同时也是弘扬文化的手段。越来越多的英语教学研究者开始重视英语教学中的中国文化教学。在全国高校英语教学改革的影响下,新疆高校的大学英语教学中本土文化的教学现状如何?本文以新疆农业大学作为调查对象,通过问卷调查以及师生访谈的形式,旨在了解新疆高校英语教学中师生对于新疆本土文化的教与学的现状以及对其认知的观念和所持的态度。Culture teaching has become an important part of college English teaching. Language is not only a tool for people to communi-cate, but also a means to carry forward culture. In recent years, more and more English teaching researchers begin to pay more attentionto the introduction of Chinese culture in English teaching. Under the influence of the reform of college English teaching in China, whatis the current situation of native culture teaching in college English teaching in Xinjiang？ This paper, taking Xinjiang Agricultural Uni-versity as the research object, through the questionnaire survey and the interviews between teachers and students, tries to find out thecurrent situation of teachers＇ teaching and students＇ learning about local culture as well as their perceptions and attitudes towards it.
