摘  要:《微物之神》中,阿慕和维鲁沙凄美的爱情故事隐藏着欲望的双重面孔,欲望两极之间的亘古之战。在南印度村庄喀拉拉,父权制、种姓制度、殖民主义、全球化等"庞大的事物"代表着偏执狂的欲望,全面有效地限制、疏导生命的欲望之流,形成和维持大民族身份和既定社会秩序。阿慕和维鲁沙等"微物"代表着精神分裂的欲望,将生命的欲望之流和大民族身份解域,创造出新的身份,颠覆既定社会秩序。通过这个爱情故事,洛伊探讨了"庞大的事物"对人们造成的种种影响,对之进行了批判,也探讨了"微物"如何进行反抗。同时,洛伊也通过阿慕与维鲁沙、瑞海尔与艾斯莎之间的联合,探讨了另一种可能的"集体"或"群体"形式,表现了小说所具有的"虚构"功能。Hidden beneath the tragic love story between Ammu and Velutha in The God of Small Things is the Janus face of desire, and the eternal war between its two poles. In Kerala, such "big things" as patriarchy, sexism, caste system, colonialism, globalization, etc. represent the paranoid desire, which restricts and channels the flow of desire comprehensively and effectively, thus forming and maintaining majoritarian identities and established social orders, whereas "small things" represent the schizophrenic desire, which deterritorializes the desire flow of Life and the majoritarian identities, thus bringing about new identities and subverting the established social order. Through this love story, Roy explores the different influences those "big things" exert on people and criticize them, and also explores how people revolt against those "big things". Through the union between Ammu and Velutha, Rahel and Esthal, Roy probes into an alternative form of"collectivity" or "community," which reflects the function of"fabulation" served by this novel.
