Objective To study the effect of nursing outcomes classification in the evaluation of self-management status of patients with primary epilepsy. Methods A total of 40 patients with primary epilepsy who were treated in our hospital from August 2015 to August 2016 were selected as study subjects. Self-management condition was evaluated by application of the "seizure control" outcome in the third edition of Nursing Outcomes Classification, and the overall nursing intervention was implemented. The self-management status of patients with primary epilepsy before and after intervention were compared. Results There were significant differences in self-management among different sex, age, educational level and regional primary epilepsy patients before and after intervention (P〈0.05). And there were significant differences in total scores of disease knowledge, treatment and medication compliance and self-management status of primary epilepsy patients between before intervention and after intervention (P〈0.05). Conclusion In the evaluation of selfmanagement status of patients with primary epilepsy, the application of nursing outcomes classification and nursing intervention has a high value.
