摘　　要：Diabetes is a chronic disease of elevated blood glucose levels that affects more than 400 million people worldwide.Complications of diabetes affect the neuronal and the vascular systems and causes diabetic kidney disease,cardiovascular disease,hypertension,retinopathy,peripheral neuropathy,and diabetic food diseases.Diabetes is caused by either the body’s inability toDiabetes is a chronic disease of elevated blood glucose levels that affects more than 400 million people worldwide. Diabetes is caused by either the body＇s inability to secrete insulin （Type 1 ） or to make efficient use of insulin （Type 2） to lower blood glucose levels. Type 1 Diabetes patients survive on daily administration of insulin, while a more diverse treatment options are available for type II diabetes that includes blocking glucose absorption or hepatic glucose production （biguanides, thiazo- lidinediones, ^-glucosidase inhibitors）, reducing glucose reahsorp- tion （SGLT2 inhibitors）, improving insulin sensitivity （biguanides,
