摘　　要：By the theories of aesthetic education, Hsun Chiang explores the essence of beauty from different perspectives and levels. His research is close to the scope of ＂The Great Beauty＂ that Chuang-tzu discussed in his works. This book interprets the classical literature and art works from the aesthetic perspective and discusses the philosophical dimension and practical significance of beauty. Meanwhile, it involves the author＇s personal life sentiments into the process of illustration and tries to deliver aesthetic education by digging out the aesthetic meanings behind the form of art. As the ＂Preacher of Aesthetics＂ and an educator, Hsun Chiang attaches great importance to aesthetics researches of the literature and art, and he organizes relevant educational activities in mainland of China and Taiwan. This book is the first issue of Hsun Chiang＇s speeches. As a lecture collection, its consistency and academic rigour may not be comparable to academic monographs, but it presents Chiang＇s idea of combining theory with practice in art education, which makes the book not only valuable in the academic sense, but also profoundly inspiring for future discussions and researches on art education.
