摘　　要：Objective To report the clinical effect of traditional acupuncture in the treatment and symptom management of painful ophthalmoplegia due to Tolosa-Hunt syndrome. Methods A single case of a 62-year-old female with painful ophthalmoplegia due to Tolosa-Hunt syndrome was observed. Acupuncture was administered alone in the patient＇s treatment plan and without glucocorticoid during treatment period. Results After 10 treatments over the course of 2 weeks, the patient had a significant clinical effect, positive outcomes in the patient＇s vitality and quality of life. Conclusion It is suggested that acupuncture therapy have analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect equal to steroid during the treatment of Tolosa-Hunt syndrome.本文介绍了针灸治疗痛性眼肌麻痹验案一例。针对合并多种基础疾病的62岁老年患者,采用传统针刺方法而未使用常规激素进行治疗。经过10次治疗后,患者的临床症状及生活质量明显改善。此案说明针对痛性眼肌麻痹的治疗,传统针灸疗法可能具有类似于激素镇痛抗炎的作用。
