摘 要:钛合金被广泛用于飞机机身、起落架和紧固件的制造中。然而,钛合金属于典型的难切削材料,其中锯齿型切屑的产生是造成其切削困难的主要原因之一。激光辅助切削是一种新兴的切削方法,常用于难加工材料的切削中,研究该切削方式下钛合金切屑形貌对于探明钛合金激光辅助切削机理,进一步实现其工程化应用具有重要的意义。文章通过实验研究了两种常用的钛合金Ti-6Al-4V和Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al在激光辅助切削加工条件下切屑的形貌特征。结果表明,这两种钛合金在传统加工时形成锯齿型切屑,在相同的工艺参数下激光辅助切削时形成连续型切屑,并随着切削速度的增加,连续型切屑逐渐转变为锯齿型切屑。激光辅助切削条件下,β型钛合金Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al切屑的绝热剪切带消失,α+β型钛合金Ti-6Al-4V切屑的绝热剪切带仍然存在,这意味着Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al合金对温度的变化更为敏感。Titanium alloys are widely used in the manufacturing of fuselage,landing gear and fastener of aircraft. However,titanium alloy is a kind of the typical hard-to-cutting materials. One typical feature in the machining of titanium alloys is the forming of saw-tooth chip,which is a major reason to cause the hard-to-cutting of titanium alloys. Laser assisted machining( LAM) is an emerging manufacturing process developed in recent years and applied widely in the machining of hard materials. It is very important to study the chips morphology in order to understand the mechanism of the titanium alloys machining under LAMcondition and its further applying in the manufacturing. The chips morphology of two types titanium alloys,Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al and Ti-6Al-4V,are analyzed in this paper. Experiments results showthat the saw-tooth chips formed during conventional machining. However,during LAMmachining the continuous chips are formed under the same cutting parameters. During LAMmachining,with the increasing cutting speed,the continuous chips gradually transform to the saw-tooth chips due to the laser beam interaction time become shorter.The impacts of laser beam on the shear bands also investigated. The experiments showthat under LAMmachining,the shear bands of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al are disappeared,but the shear bands of Ti-6Al-4V alloy are still exist under the same machining parameters. It is means that the Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al alloy more sensitive to the change of temperature.
