族裔经验的“潜叙述”——华裔美国文学梦境叙事研究

摘　　要：梦境叙事是华裔美国文学常见的叙事手法。本文以《女勇士》、《唐老亚》、《家园》三部代表性小说进行分析,讨论梦境叙事在华裔美国文学中的艺术形式和内涵特征,揭示梦境叙事的审美价值。本文认为,这三部作品以梦境这一超现实叙事形式,以潜叙述的方式意指美国华裔的族裔经验,以虚拟的符号文本与现有生活文本和历史话语展开对话,揭示生活现实,钩沉族裔历史,帮助主人公实现文化身份意识的觉醒和族裔主体性的建构。Dream narrative is a common narrative technique in Chinese American Literature. This paper explores the artistic forms and thematic content of dream narrative in three Chinese American novels： The Woman Warrior, DonaldDuk and Homebase, so as to reveal its aesthetic values. It is found that dream narrative is used as ＂sub-narrative＂ to signify ethnic experience and, by creating a dialogue between the dream text and the given historical discourse, works as a means to reveal the reality, uncover lost history and help in the construction of ethnic subjectivity.
