摘　　要：《康熙字典》是世界辞书史上的一座丰碑,享誉东亚乃至全球。2016年恰逢《康熙字典》出版三百周年,文章以《康熙字典》和约翰逊《英语词典》为例,从两部划时代辞书编纂的历史背景及其影响,规定主义的编纂原则,《康熙字典》的书证与约翰逊《英语词典》的例证,两部辞书的释义特色,贡献及历史局限性,创新与发展等方面对两者进行了对比研究。Kangxi Dictionary is a cornerstone in the world 's lexicographic history,gaining reputation in East Asia and even in the whole world. The year 2016 coincided with the 300 th anniversary of this dictionary. This article compares Kangxi Dictionary and Samuel Johnson's A Dictionary of the English Language from different perspectives, including the historical backgrounds against which they were made, their influences, their prescriptive compiling principles,the documented evidences in Kangxi Dictionary versus the illustrative examples in A Dictionary of the English Language,their defining features,contributions,and limitations,and their innovations and developments.
