摘  要:直觉智慧,言简意赅,但不太交代推论过程,以致容易歧义丛生。直觉智慧应该适度降低抽象层次,与严谨的社会科学语言和逻辑互通。本文以苏轼《题西林壁》诗为引子,举出研究实例,探讨国际传播与新闻史的三个主要问题。第一,社会真实的多重建构,既非单一,亦非无限;真实的整体犹如瞎子摸象,不是简单的部分与部分拼凑而成,其建构涉及权力中心与边缘的关系。第二,不管是国际传播或是新闻史,局内人与局外人的观点必须互相渗透,从沟通对话中获得互为主观的同情了解。第三,社会科学及传播研究旨在揭开人与社会的多元性、复杂性和矛盾性,要能见树又见林,分析的角度和结论跟随重要的条件而变化,故必须捕捉时间(历史)与空间(全球)如何影响事物的"常与变"及其变化的"同与异"。Chinese intuitive wisdom tends to embody layers of rich meaning with succinct language. Yet stopping short of providing a detailed account of the reasoning process,such intuitive wisdom is often liable to inexact and even contrary interpretations. I argue that the level of abstraction of intuitive wisdom should be lowered to a point where it becomes open to rigorous investigation per social science language and logic. Taking a famous poem by Su Shi as a point of departure and citing many real examples,I try to provide a tinge of phenomenological analyses in the hope of drawing out the implications for studies in international communication and media history. First,social reality is intersubjectively constructed and allows for multiple —neither single nor infinite —renditions. Reality does not mean an ensemble of constituent parts mechanistically stitched together,for it always invokes power relations between center and periphery. Second,the insider's view and the outsider's view must constantly interpenetrate in order to achieve empathetic understanding via continuous dialogue. Third,communication research aims to elucidate the diverse,complex,and contradictory dimensions of interaction between people,media and society. Given the vital time(historical)and spatial(global)contingencies,we should seek to unravel the continuities and rupture,as well as the commonalities and differences,of agency-structure interfaces.
