摘　　要：时评是上海《时报》一项重大业务创举,其发展历经孕育、初创、成熟、下滑、衰颓五个阶段,在《时报》演绎了一条独特的演进轨迹。《时报》时评思想内容丰富,议题广泛,主要涉及内政外交、国计民生、社会弊端、伦理观念、国民痼疾等方面,呈现出视角独异、形式灵活、笔调冷峻、短峭活泼、多姿多彩的艺术风格。这一"独创文体"适时诞生有其积极意义:峻简隽利的时评发挥引导社会舆论"轻骑兵"作用;开中国报纸言论由"论"入"评"之先河;为我国早期公共领域建构增添新的羽翼。The commentaries on current affairs of Shanghai Shi Bao is a major news operation initiative, and its development experienced five stages, that is, gestation, start-up, mature, decline and decay, and deduced a unique evolution path in the Shanghai Shi Bao. The commentaries have rich content and wide range of topics, mainly related to domestic and foreign affairs, national economy and people's livelihood, social ills, ethics, national ills and so on, showing the unique perspective, flexible forms, solemn tone and colorful art style. The 'original style' has its positive significance: the commentaries played a role of guiding public opinion as 'light cavalry'; opened China's newspaper comments from the 'theory' into the 'commentary'; added new wings for the construction of the early public sphere in China.
