摘　　要：南通作为具有地域性特色的近代建筑集聚地,其建筑具有独特的符号特征。从建筑符号学角度切入,解读当前南通地域性建筑设计的几种倾向,并从建筑师和使用者两个角度阐述地域性建筑的表达方法和途径,从而有效指导南通现代建筑地域性的传承与创新。Nantong city is the gathering place of Neoteric architecture which has unique regional characteristics ;Therefore ,the modern architecture has unique semiotic characteristic. Based on the semiotics of architecture, several tendencies of current regional architectural design in Nantong is read, at the same time, the expression methods and approaches of regional architecture is elaborated from the point of view of the architect and user. So that, it will effectively guide the inheritance and innovation of Nantong modern architecture.
