摘　　要：实证主义是塑造20世纪建筑的一股强大力量。回溯实证主义产生的哲学根源,以希腊为开端,阐释了数世纪以来西方哲学中的四种数字观,以及西方建筑是如何反映了这些思想的发展,以致达到20世纪现代主义在实证主义思想观里的巅峰。最终评述了当代中国建筑缺乏能同时驾驭中国传统宇宙有机变化观与西方基于数字的科学方法的哲学根基。Positivism is a powerful force in shaping the twentieth century architecture.
