摘  要:基于光子晶体波导传导模随波导邻近介质柱折射率改变而变化的特性,设计了一种MachZehnder结构光开关,通过改变对称波导中其中一支波导邻近两侧介质柱折射率实现对光传输的控制。利用平面波展开法计算了可调区域介质柱折射率为不同值时波导传导模的色散曲线,并根据光的干涉相消原理计算了光不能通过输出波导满足的调节区域长度L。当可调介质柱折射率为2.8、归一化频率为0.384时,可调区域长度为8a,器件能够实现开关功能。最后,利用时域有限差分法对该结构中光的传输特性进行了仿真。A structure of Mach-Zehnder optical switch is proposed based on the characteristics of the photon- ic crystal waveguide transmission mode varying with the refractive indices change of the waveguide fringe di- electric rods. The optical transmission characteristic is controlled by adjusting the refractive index of a waveg- uide fringe dielectric rod in the symmetric photonic crystal waveguide structure. The band diagram for guided mode ofphotonic crystal waveguide is calculated using the plane wave expansion method, when the refractive index of rods in waveguide fringe region is different from the refractive index of photonic crystal dielectric rods. According to the interference principle of light, the tunable region length L is calculated when the ener- gy of light can't meet at output waveguide. When the refractive index of the tunable dielectric rod is 2.8, it is further concluded that the length L of the adjustable region is 8a corresponding to the normalized frequency 0.384. The device can realize the function of the switch. Finally, the transmission characteristic of the device is simulated using the finite-difference time-domain method.
