Objective To study the relationship between serum levels of β2-microglobulin(β2-MG), Cystatin C(CysC), Superoxyde dismutase(SOD)and coronary lesions in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods The serum levels of β2-MG, CysC, SOD in 108 non-CHD patients and 119 CHD patients were measured.According to the results of coronary angiography, the levels of coronary artery stenosis were evaluated using the Gensini score. Results The levels of β2-MG and CysC in CHD group were significantly higher than those in non-CHD group, but the level of SOD in CHD group was significantly lower.Among different CHD subgroups, the levels of β2-MG and CysC were increasing according with the increasing numbers of coronary arteries with stenosis lesions, but the differences of SOD levels were not significant. The higher levels of β2-MG and CysC, the higher scores of coronary artery stenosis; However, the higher levels of SOD, the lower scores of coronary artery stenosis. Conclusions The levels of β2-MG and CysC are closely correlated with the numbers of coronary arteries with the stenosis lesions and the levels of coronary artery stenosis, indicating that these factors have some significance in predicting the severities of vascular lesions and the risk stratifications in CHD patients.
