经济集中会阻碍金融发展吗?——基于中国省级面板数据的实证研究

摘　　要：理论和经验研究表明,经济集中不利于一国或地区的金融发展。文章基于2004-2015年我国省级面板数据,对经济集中阻碍金融发展的假说是否适合中国进行实证研究。实证结果显示:从总体上看,经济集中阻碍了我国的金融发展;分地区而言,在经济发达的东部地区经济集中抑制金融发展的假说并没有得到验证,而在中部、西部、东北经济欠发达地区经济集中度明显阻碍了金融发展,尤其是在东北地区。根据上述研究结论,中部、西部、东北地区应该因地制宜地制订科学合理的产业规划,降低经济集中度,致力于提高经济多样性,并以此促进金融发展和长期稳定的经济增长;同时要完善与健全法律制度、金融市场和商业银行运行机制,以实现金融发展与经济增长的良性互动。Economic concentration, which can impede a country or region＇ s financial development, has been proved by theoretical and empirical studies. Using the provincial panel data from 2004 to 2015, this paper investigates the relationship between economic concentration and financial development in China. The empirical results show that： In general, economic concentration weakens China＇ s financial development. By location, in the developed eastern region, the effect oE economic concentration on financial development is not proved. But in the central, west, northeast China, economic concentration can obviously impede financial development, especially in the northeast region. Based on the above conclusions, those undeveloped regions＇ government should develop scientific and rational industrial planning according to local conditions to lower economic concentration and improve economic diversity, thus to promote the financial development and economic growth. Moreover, they should improve and perfect the legal system, financial market and commercial banks operating mechanism to achieve the benign interaction between financial development and economic growth.
