According to the meteorological condition requirement of summer maize, the authors used climate data from 1981 to 2015 in Changqing and topography and soil data, adopted the Kriging interpolation method, weighted comprehensive evaluation method and analytic hierarchy process method to analyze the spatial distribution of suitability of summer maize planting in Changqing and did fine agricultural regionalization combined with GIS technology. The results showed that: the climate conditions of most agricultural areas in Changqing were suitable for the growth and development of summer maize; the suitability distribution of summer maize planting in Changqing had obvious spatial differences, and the overall trend was decreasing from northwest to southeast; the most suitable area was mainly distributed in the Pingan Sub-district and Wenchang Sub-district; the suitable area was distributed in Guyun Lake Sub-district and Wufengshan Sub- district; the general suitable area was mainly distributed in the southeast of Changqing. The results of agricultural regionalization had a certain application value for the rational utilization of climate resources in the region, the development of modern agriculture and the adjustment planning of summer maize planting.
