摘　　要：予且的文学之路实际上是从圣约翰大学开始的。1920年代前半期的圣约翰大学新旧杂糅的校园文学气氛,为他投身新文学的创作提供了较大的空间和可能。他对新文学创作理念的接纳、对新文学创作困境和未来出路的反省思考、对圣约翰大学话剧传统的接续和创化,都直接影响了1940年代"新市民小说家"予且的诞生。YU Qie engaged in literary creation in his youth when he studied in St.John's University.The literary circle in St.John's University presented a blend of old and new elements in the early 1920s,which provided plenty space and possibilities for his new literary creation.His absorption of new literary creation theories,retrospective thinking of the difficulties in new literary creation and future solutions,and inheriting of the drama tradition in St.John's and creation based on the tradition—all of these helped to lead to the naissance of a"new civil novelist"in 1940s.
