摘　　要：维持近一个世纪之久的上海租界,处于中国历史上一个特殊时期,是近代中国向发达资本主义国家看齐的一个"窗口"。上海租界期中国报刊事业开始向近代化起步与衍变,初步具备了近代社会的新的特征。大批西方传教士来华办报,宣传西方基督教思想企图征服中国人骄傲自大的排外心理,他们的办报活动影响了中国一代代知识分子,催生了近代大批著名报人。"租界"这片"国中之国"在西方成熟报刊体系影响下,形成了具有中国本土特色的媒介集团化经营、出版自由和商业经济的先进资本主义性质的办报理念。Shanghai concession, maintaining nearly a century old, is a special period in Chinese history,is a ＂window＂ for modern Chinese to par with the developed capitalist countries. Concession of Shanghai Chinese newspaper career began to evolve modernization, initially has the new features of modern society. A large number of Western missionaries started publication to propaganda Western Christian thought to attempt to conquer arrogant xenophobia of Chinese people. Their activities influenced the Chinese generations of intellectuals, bring the birth of the modern large-known journalists. ＂Concessions＂, ＂state within a state＂, under the influence of the mature Western press system, formed the conception of a media group manage-ment with Chinese local characteristics, press freedom and commercial economy with the advanced capitalist nature, com-manding the modern long-term development of Chinese newspapers.
