摘　　要：《午夜之子》创造了一个超现实主义的背景,在这个背景下,各种魔幻元素还原了印度历史编撰中所渗透的政治意识并且参与到对殖民主义和民族主义者意识形态的讽刺当中。在《午夜之子》中,女性的沉默与拒绝使得家庭空间成为反抗帝国主义的场域,消解了家庭空间的内部权力等级结构中的父权话语和殖民主义话语;边缘化的庶民阶层的历史话语包含魔幻元素,解构了印度民族主义精英历史话语的中心权力;叙述者的奇幻叙事将魔幻与印度历史的神秘主义相融,解构了欧洲霸权话语体系下的线性历史叙事。魔幻的表现手法跨越空间的界限,强调了空间的解域化特征,对帝国主义支配性空间表征进行了抵制。Midnight＇s Children creates a surrealistic background, out of which fantastic elements recuperate the political consciousness of Indian historiography, and participate in the satires of colonial and nationalist ideologies of India. In Midnight ＇ s Children, silence and refusal of woman empower domestic space as an anti-imperial setting, and dissolve the patriarchal and colonial discourses of domestic hierarchies; the historical discourse of marginalized subaltern groups, encompassing magic elements, destabilizes the central power of the nationalist elites＇ historical discourses; narrators＇ fantastic narratives merge magic with Indian historical mysticism, which deconstructs the nonlinear historical narratives of the European hegemonic discourses. Magic transcends the boundaries of space, deterritorializes the enclosure of space, and resists the colonial representation system.
