摘　　要：始建于唐朝的古代宁波城,在一千多年的时间里一直是宁波城市唯一的城区。1844年宁波开埠后,宁波城市开始转型,最终形成了老区城、江北区、江东区"三区鼎立"的格局。从1983年开始到现在,随着众多城区的快速兴起,宁波城市进入了"多核争辉"的时代。不过,"宁波"只是作为一个行政区域的名称,而作为单一城市的"宁波"则已经不存在了。历史事实表明,自从近代以来,宁波城市一直以加速度的方式不断向前推进,而且势头越来越迅猛。根据这样的发展潮流,将来的整个宁波平原终将融合为一个现代化的、繁荣的国际港口名城。First built in Tang Dynasty, the City of Ningbo has been the only urban center in Ningbo for more than one thousand years. But after 1844 when Ningbo was forced to open, the structure of Ningbo city began to change, finally forming the three areas： old city District, Jiangbei District and Jiangdong District. From 1983 to present, with more and more urban centers springing up, the city of Ningbo comes into the age of the city with many centers. Now the designation of “Ningbo” is used only as the name for an administrative region, instead of the name of a single city. It is showed that Ningbo City has been advancing at an accelerated speed with gathered momentum. With the development trend continuing, the whole Ningbo Plain will become a metropolitan center in the future.
