摘　　要：因逐年增加的医疗保健费用,重复使用一次性使用医疗器械(SUMED)在全世界许多国家变得十分常见,如果将其很好地再处理(保证器械功能完好和安全性)是可以重复使用的,然而,重复使用一次性使用医疗器械涉及法律、经济、伦理、医疗安全等问题,尚存在很大的争议,尽管许多研究表明这一过程是安全的,未出现不良事件或是对患者健康带来损害,本研究回顾再处理或者重复使用一次性器械的历史发展过程,调查其他国家在这一领域的现状,从医院感染和伦理学角度来探讨一次性器械重复使用,无论是发展中国家还是发达国家在决定重复使用一次性使用医疗器械之前需要建立健全相应法律、法规。The reuse of medical equipments marked by the manufacturers for single-use only is a common practice in most countries worldwide as a result of the escalating cost cf health care.They can be re-used if they are reprocessed （a practice that guarantees the device＆#39;s integrity,functionality and safety）.While reuse of single-use devices involves legal,economic,ethical,and medical issues and has been extremely controversial,despite many studies reported that hospitals reusing single use medical devices was safe,and no adverse events or damages to patients＆#39; health were reported.In this review we looked back upon the history of reprocessing and reuse of medical singleuse devices （SUDs）.Our aim was to survey the current situations with respect to SUD reprocessing practices and protocols in other countries.This review addressed issues associated with reuse of medical devices from an infection control standpoint,and also took into account ethical considerations.Developing countries as well as developed countries should establish laws and policies to ensure detailed evaluation prior to approval of reprocessing selected items.
