摘　　要：20世纪美国经历了三次大的经济转型,对城市化尤其是大都市空间建构带来了直接影响。城市发展的同时,种族、阶级、性、性别、身份等问题随之凸显。本文聚焦20世纪美国转型期中具有代表性的戏剧,分析经济转型与都市空间建构间的关系,揭示都市空间格局演变所带来的社会空间变形及其舞台空间寓意的复杂多样性,以期为中国城市化过程中都市空间规划以及都市戏剧的变革提供参考。There is no denying that economic transformation will have strong effect upon the urban development. America has experienced 5 economic transformations in its history, which directly affected the design of the cities. Meanwhile, problems like race, identity, class, gender, sex, etc. arose sharply during the process of urbanization. The present paper will take some representative plays in the period of transformation in the last century as a focus, study the relationship between economic transformation and metropolitan space construction, reveal the complicated implications of the social space change brought about by the urban physical space alteration, and decode the meaning of stage performances of some typical plays concerned. The authors hope that the research can provide some valuable information for the urban space construction in the process of China＇s urbanization.
