Since its emergence in the 1970 s as a school of the study of political thoughts, the 'Cambridge School' has been imposing dominating influence in Britain and America ever since. The methodological paradigm proposed by the Cambridge School,i.e.'to bring text back to its original context ',appears initially to be a purely academic notion, which emphasizes that the research of political thoughts should take its bearings as a historical research pursuing the goal of objectivity. It can be revealed upon further examinations, however, that the 'Cambridge School' is not merely a school focusing on the political thoughts, but rather a salient theoretical branch of radical democracy in the contemporary western academic field. The methodological paradigm of the Cambridge School is by itself of the nature of radical democracy.Their leading scholars,John G.A.Pocock and Quentin Skinner, declare with square frankness by their methodology of the historical approach, that an overthrown of traditional approaches to the study of political thoughts by the new historical methods is a necessary precondition to follow and adjust to the contemporary trend of radical democracy. It deserves our concern and alert that the Cambridge School has been turning the agora of political-thought studies into one that is predominated by radical theories of democracy.
