Objective To explore the application value of continuous negative pressure suction technique in complicated wound closure. Methods We retrospectively reviewed 86 cases of a variety of complex wounds in the Department Burn Plastic Surger y, according to the closure of the use of closed continuous wash suction technology, they were divided into A group and B group for comparison. In A group,46 cases were treated by closed continuous negative pressure suction technique for suture, and in B group 40 cases were treated with conventional suture. Results In group A, the washing and drainage devices of 46 patients were removed within 5 to 7 days after the suction. Two patients (4.3%) had wound rupture and healed after dressing change, and the other 44 patients (96% ) were healed by first intention. In B group 12 (30%) patients had complications after operation such as effusion, suppuration, dehiscence, and sinus forming again,of which 10 cases were given debridement and suture, the remaining 28 cases (70%) healed. The results were statistically significant (P〈0.05). Conclusion Closed continuous negative pressure suction technology is an effective measure to treat complicated wounds, which.can promote wound healing and reduce the incidence of postoperative complications.
