摘　　要：The special issue on structural health monitoring&integrity management(SHM&IM)was inspired by the 3rd International Conference on SHM&IM,held in Chengdu,China,October,2016.Thanks to the guest editors,Prof.CAO Maosen and Prof.DING Keqin,for their devoted help,this issue finally found a chance to start.The special issue on structural health monitoring ＆ integrity management （SHM ＆ IM） was inspired by the 3rd International Conference on SHMgalM, held in Chengdu, China, October, 2016. Thanks to the guest editors, Prof. CAO Maosen and Prof. DING Keqin, for their devoted help, this issue finally found a chance to start.
